Pupcheeks bought for 5 Million
With pitcher suspended [Flop Floppish] the Jacks saw a perfect opportunity to sign All-Star, Pupcheeks. She will remain on the team for the remainder of the season and will be paid 5 Million Pupville Dollars for her services. The original Pupcheeks deal started when she played for the Bees along with Pupeeys and her contract stated that she will leave the team once Pupeeys was healthy again. After being traded to the Pups with Pupeeys the deal still remained on her contract. 3 weeks ago when Pupeeys came back Pupcheeks became a free agent. It took until now for a team to reach negtiations with her. This will be the third team she plays for this season.

Puppy J can't control anger, benched for months to come
It was a horrible scene last night at Bayside Field Monday night. It all started with Puppy Jenson's first at-bat since he got back from suspension. Long John Silver struck him out, and we saw flashbacks from last suspension. He threw his bat right at Long John, striking her in the head with his bat. 1st baseman of the Jacks [Flop Floppish] had enough with Puppy and began a fistfight with him starting with a hard shove onto home plate. Umpires quickly held both of them back, but somehow Puppy was able to get untangled as both he and Flop were headed to the clubhouse. He went right over to the mound and knocked Long John over. Immediately after this the Jacks manager took a fist to Puppy's face. After this all people involved in the fight were restrained. Though Puppy had a few colorful words to say to LJ before they lost sight of each other. He will now be suspended for 15 games, and will be expected to return mid-late July. Flop will be suspended for 5 games and Jacks' manager was fired tuesday morning.
All-Star Weekend Rescheduled
This is the first time in PBL history where All-Star weekend has had to be canceled and rescheduled. The reason? A cold front across the coast of Pupville has brought 4 inches of rain and horrendous winds. Not even the most intense of field maintenance could keep the fields playable. Therefore, practices were not allowed, which are vital to an athlete's success in this competitive weekend. If you check the schedule section of the blog, you will see the new and finalized schedule for the practices of the All-Star events, happening the weekend of June 7-9th. We will keep you updated throughout the duration of this week.

Pupa takes a DNA test, unexpected results
Pupa can now calm down now that he knows his genetic background. Obviously he is majority human, at 72.6%. Next he is 18.7% gorilla and 3% baboon. It took hours to find these last ones, but he is 1.7% Wombat, 0.3% Giant Anteater, and 0.1% Wild Boar.

In this section will soon be the schedules of all tournaments, conference games, balance games and All-Star games. You can still find them in the PBL section of the blog but soon they will be easier to find in the schedule section. Also, updated in the schedule section is the layout of the balance games being played from 5/20-5/22. Feel free to check these sections out!

PBL Home Run Derby
Unlike last year, this years' Home Run Derby will feature 5 players instead of 4. The players selected this year were the top home run leaders (Pup, Fool, and Sea Pupa), the batting average and hit leader (Leo), and an overall outstanding batter (Pupcheeks). The event will consist of 3 rounds and each round will consist of a different way to show off batting skills. The first round will test the players batting average out of a total of 10 pitches. The players with the 2 lowest averages will be eliminated. The next round will test distance of a batter. There will be 5 different areas on the field (infield, outfield 1, outfield 2, warning track, home run) and where the ball lands will give the player a certain amount of points. The player with the lowest amount of points will be eliminated. The next round will test how many home runs a player can hit. Both remaining players will have 20 pitches to hit the most home runs.Whoever has the most home runs is the winner.

PBL All-Star Game
This years PBL All-Star game is bound to be the best All-Star game played in PBL history. This year there were obvious selections, 1st time All-Stars, tight cuts, and old timers brought back. It must have brought a rare smile to G-Pa's face when he saw that he was on the All-Star roster for the first time in over 20 years. Long John and Pupcheeks were the first (and only) 2 year players since Sea Pupa last year, and G-Pa back in 1944 when he played for the Fools. All competitors in this game are worthy, and will put on quite a show.
