Early in the 3rd inning of the Puppish Invitational championship game Pupacheekis hit a line drive between 1st and 2nd. He sprinted to 1st base after hitting the ball, hoping to get the Fools' hit of the game. After touching the base he slipped, and landed awkwardly on the grass. He immediately grabbed his right knee in pain and stayed in the same position for several minutes. He

was helped by teammates Fool Foolerson and Flopper Floppish off the field out and then was put on a stretcher to head into the Fools' locker room. He iced his knee until he was taken to a local hospital. There he was given an MRI showing that he completely tore his right ACL. He will undergo surgery

tomorrow (4/20/13) and, if lucky, will make his return to the Fools next season. Though the Fools might not re-sign him the organization seems like they would be quite happy to see him return. Pupacheekis gives his best wishes to the Fools and wants to see them do their best this season.
