Pupeeys Checked Out....PBL hopes checked out?

A few weeks ago we posted about how Pupeeys was involved in a tragic head-on car accident and was rushed to the emergency room and was kept in the ICU for three days. It was announced last night that Pupeeys checked out of the hospital and will be involved with three months of rehab to get her body's health back. Now three months is a long time and the PBL season starts in about a month, so Pupeeys will definitely out for the first two months but isn't sure if she'll be able to play at all. A recent interview with her surgeons explains.

"Pupeeys recovered from her fractured clavicle and broken femur very well and better then we all thought. Rehab is going to be a tough one but she knows that she wants to be functional again and play in the PBL. In order to do that, three months or more of rehab is required. It is not yet determined how she will react with the rehab but if it's a good reaction then we could see some earlier dismissal but we've got to work hard to get her to that point," says Dr. Susan Clemmins, Pupeey's surgeon.

All we ask is that we come together and hope for Pupeeys to have a quick recovery. The PBL is depending on one of it's best 1st basemen to get better so that the season will be a good one.
